Question 1

Are you licensed and insured and what does that do for me

Accepted Answer

Our insurance is the best available. We’re not just a “bonded” cleaning service, but have liability, crime and employee accident coverage. Your home, our team members and Healthy Homes Housekeeping are included in the coverage. If you’d like, we will send you a certificate validating our insurance.

Question 2

What if someone is injured cleaning my home?

Accepted Answer

The beauty of you making the wise choice of only dealing with a professional service is that you do not have the liability if someone is injured on your property. Healthy Homes Housekeeping is fully insured for such circumstances and our employees are covered under a comprehensive workers compensation plan. Those who hire an uninsured individual to work in their home open themselves to a lot more risk than injury.

Question 3

Are your employees legal citizens of the US?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This ensures you that you are also legal and complying with the laws of our great country. Healthy Homes Housekeeping complies with the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) and follows procedures to verify that employees are authorized to work in the U.S. All employees of our cleaning service are required to fill out Form I-9, the employment eligibility verification form, and provide necessary employment eligibility documentation, before starting work. If you hire an undocumented worker on your own, you are subject to the penalties of the crime.

Question 4

Does your staff speak English?

Accepted Answer

Yes, our employees read and speak English. You will be able to communicate any of your needs to us and we will clarify to make sure your requests and expectations are clearly understood.

Question 5

Do you do criminal background checks & random drug screening?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do. We go to great lengths to only hire law abiding, trustworthy individuals and make sure that they remain honest in all they do while they work for us. They are, in fact, frequently in our families’ homes as well.

Question 6

How long have you been in business?

Accepted Answer

We’ve provided cleaning services to Northern Utah since 1988! This means that we are experienced and will NOT be using your home as a proving ground for untried employees, chemicals nor techniques. We have also received great feedback from thousands of customers who have helped us create and perfect a unique experience that we feel you will enjoy.

Question 7

Do you reward for referrals?

Accepted Answer

Oh baby, do we ever! We will pay you cash or credit your account $50 for every new household you refer to us that becomes a regular housekeeping client. Regular is defined as monthly or more frequent.

Question 8

How do I arrange payment for my regular cleaning service?

Accepted Answer

You have many options but, payment is due at time of service. You may pay by cash, personal check or accepted credit cards. If you do not plan to be present during our first visit, we will ask you for the full estimated amount to be pre-paid by credit card prior to beginning your cleaning. If it takes less time than we estimated, we will refund the difference or apply it to our next visit, as you prefer. On regularly scheduled visits, we prefer payments continue to be automated and handled through our office via credit card. When handled this way we can then leave your receipt marked paid in full after each visit.

Question 9

Do I need to be home during my cleaning?

Accepted Answer

It’s your choice. Many of our customers prefer to give us a key which we then manage through a sign in and out system in our office. Others leave us a key in a safe place such as a lock box. Some utilize alarm systems which can either be left off or you can give us the entry/exit codes. By far, the most efficient and problem-free way for everyone is for you to give us a key and the alarm codes.

Question 10

Is a maid service expensive and only for wealthy people?

Accepted Answer

No. As you’ve read throughout our site, our goal is to create a service that becomes priceless to you by maintaining order and beauty in your home and creating more time for you to enjoy it. Our service blesses the lives of the young mother who wants more time with her family, the established homemaker who wants more free time to relax, the elderly who need a helping hand, the convalescent who just can’t do it anymore or even the absentee homeowner who wants peace of mind knowing that things are being kept up in their absence.

Question 11

Will I be able to have the same individuals each time?

Accepted Answer

We make every effort to have the same cleaning team in your home but also like to have alternate team members familiar with your home so we don’t miss a beat due to illness. Your Healthy Homes team leader’s job is to learn your home and to teach the team members to deliver the quality that you would expect.

Question 12

Can I leave a note for my housekeepers with special requests?

Accepted Answer

Yes. If the request is of the nature of a friendly reminder, etc. and, it is placed in a location that we are sure to see, a note is always appreciated. However, if it is to request additional services beyond your normal cleaning scope then we need to have you schedule that through our office in advance of your cleaning day. This assures that we allot the appropriate time for your needs and any others scheduled that same day do not have their appointments affected.

Question 13

What if I need to skip a cleaning at a last minutes notice?

Accepted Answer

We would greatly appreciate a 24 hr. notice of any rescheduling needs but understand that emergencies do arise. If it makes you feel better you could tip your housekeepers on your next appointment as an apology for their lost income. Wouldn’t that be a win / win situation?

Question 14

Should I tip my housekeepers?

Accepted Answer

Tipping is not required nor is it implied. But you should know that when your housekeepers do receive a tip it is like manna from heaven. Can you envision them returning to the office with an extra bounce in their step, a smile on their faces and added pride in the service they provide? Now, who wouldn’t want that?

Question 15

What do I need to supply?

Accepted Answer

Nothing, Healthy Homes Housekeeping crews will always arrive at your home in one of our lettered vans with our own cleaning products and equipment. All of our products are environmentally-preferable and are safe for small children and pets. If you want to provide something may we suggest a cold drink or a cookie?

Question 16

What if I am unhappy with the service I receive?

Accepted Answer

Our services are guaranteed. If we have miss communicated with you concerning your expectations then we want to know. We will return as soon as possible to correct the concern and then re document the matter in our records so that it won’t be repeated. If though, you are happy, we want to know that too.
